Last weekend, my dear friend Tricia was in town for a wedding. Sunday was our day together before her flight took off at 9:35pm. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the festivities going on around town, there have been great festival, etc. every weekend, well, not so much last weekend. However, there were options, in the end we decided for a photo field trip to downtown Detroit. Tricia lived in Michigan for approximately 8 years before moving to Arizona last fall, BUT she had never been downtown to see some of the beautiful landmarks. I decided on the Spirit of Detroit, Joe Louis' Fist, Hart Plaza, and the River Walk. It was a beautiful day, a bit warm and humid, but the breeze off the river was wonderful!
We had a great time exploring a few of the beautiful sites Detroit has to offer, if only those were the stories that made the news...
Seeing Tricia was great, there are some friends that you can go months without talking to and then pick up from where you left off like it was only a day...Tricia is one of those friends.
In other business, I am feeling pretty antsy and feel a trip "up north" is in the near future. Stay tuned...
